We make it quick to get a proper website up, and simple to look after once it is.
Crafty Website is a website builder for small businesses: trades, cafes, salons, studios, makers, charities and clubs. You answer a few questions, or pick one of our designs, and you have a real website the same day. After that you click on anything to change it.
Everything a small business tends to need is built in and switched on when you want it: enquiry forms, online booking, a shop that takes card payments, a blog, a members' area and your own email address.
We do not rent space from anyone else. Your website runs on our own server here in the United Kingdom, so your customers' details stay here too.
Backups are taken every day and kept away from the server, security certificates are fetched and renewed for you, and the machine is watched around the clock so problems reach us before they reach you.
Crafty Website began with one small business: my sister's. She runs community events, and she does it the way she does everything - all in, backing herself, working it out as she goes.
What she needed was a website that kept up with her. What she could get was either expensive, or so fiddly it ate the evenings she didn't have. So we built it.
The other reason is simpler. Work that keeps you on the road does not fit a life with dogs waiting at home. Building this meant the work comes to the desk instead, and the dogs get the day. Plenty of the people we build for are doing the same thing: fitting a business around the life they actually want.
A website should pay for itself with the first job it brings in. That is why our prices start at £4.99 a month, why a web address is £12 a year, and why paying for a year up front includes the first year of that address free.
We would rather your money went into your business than into your website. When you do well, you stay, and that suits us both.
Crafty Website is improved constantly, and every improvement reaches every customer automatically. There is no upgrade to buy and no new version to move to.

Your web address is registered in your name and you can move it elsewhere whenever you like. Your pages, pictures and customer records are yours, and you can take them with you.
